Happy January

Who is snowed in on this lovely, snowy,  bluebird day?  This week is looking like we will be running around with lots of things coming in, and me trying to slip out to enjoy the snow for a few hours.  I love all the folks out on the hills with air mattresses and crazy carpets.

Kiss My Face body lotion just arrive, if you are a victim of moisture sucking Alberta air.  Nelson’s Oso Negro Coffee should be in by the mid week, for those painful 8:30 am sunrises.

The Natural Factors Winter Flyer Sale is on now until February 4. check out http://naturalfactors.com/ca/en for the scoop on all things Natural Factors.

We are getting a portion of a local eco-groovy cow in the near future, so talk to us about all its adjectives if you are curious about the life that this animal lived.   We have started to carry Diamond Willow Certified Organic Beef, check out http://www.diamondwillow.ca for info about this great locally based product.

Over the Holidays I spent time with Neil, our bison supplier.  After my family was getting back from our Christmas Day walk, Neil was tromping into the yard with boxes of bison for Bridges.  He entertained us with stories of bison raising and wrangling.  It’s not for the faint of heart, but we are glad that he is doing it so we can enjoy the super good smokies from Alberta Bison Ranch.

I am pretty excited about some new rice that I found.  It is an organic wild rice from Saskatchewan.  I think I will be trying it out in a wild rice mushroom stuffed peppers or squash this week.
